On April 18^, 2004, a group of more than 140 members and their families turned out for the Annual “Katie’s Crew” Walk for MS. We were asked to support this worthy cause by Brother Brian Higginbotham, a Local 676 member employed by Louis P. Canuso whose wife is unfortunately suffering from MS. Teamsters Local 676 donated 150 T-Shirts and our Local Union Banner to “Katie’s Crew” for this event.

President Well’s participated in the morning activities and the group raised more than $6,000.00 for this worthy cause. All together this event raised more than $90,000.00 and is very close to becoming the #1 Walk in the nation raising over 2.2 million dollars in the fight to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. This event raised the awareness of this dreadful disease and we are very excited for next year’s walk where we plan to double our participation and hopefully double the funds raised.
